Porsche’s four-door performance sedan, the Panamera, has proved a hugely popular foil for the fabrication skills (and occasional product planning folly) of Germany’s myriad aftermarket tuners.
Most of the performance and styling upgrades have concerned the turbocharged 4.8 V8 Panamera, as befits its status as the range’s most powerful derivative.
Now, though, Holzmaden-based tuner SpeedART is offering Panamera diesel owners the opportunity to (at last) have their cars customised.
DIESEL POWER (AND THEN SOME)
SpeedART’s PS9-300D adds a range of body Tupperware to the standard Panamera three-litre V6 turbodiesel (front spoiler, skirts, rear aero duct cut-outs and twin tailpipes) and exchanges the stock 18" rims for huge 22" alloys.
Beyond the comprehensive range of newfangled styling trinkets added by SpeedART, the company’s technicians have managed boosted the V6 turbodiesel’s output. Thanks to a 36kW power gain and 86Nm more torque (courtesy of a custom-crafted freeflow exhaust system and some engine control module fiddling), SpeedART’s PS9-300D produces 220kW/636Nm.
Although no official performance figures are available but those numbers are sure to guarantee (very) swift performance.
So, if you’ve made the sound choice to purchase a diesel Panamera yet desire more urgent throttle response (and some really large wheels), SpeedART’s PS9-300D conversion is just what you’ve been waiting for.
