Petrol power for Touran

accreditation
Volkswagen of South Africa has added a 1.6 75kW Trendline to the recent facelift Touran model range, which was previously consisted only of diesel powered engines.

The new front end design of the Touran can be identified by the black radiator grille with a chrome ring around the badge, new headlights with 'Triple Ellipsoid' technology and '15 alloy wheels.

Tourans interior now features a 3-spoke steering wheel flanked by an ergonomically designed dash board featuring dials finished in stainless steel.

Concerning adaptability the seating system enables the three light-weight seats arranged next to each other in the second row, to be easily moved - lengthwise and offset diagonally, folded down or removed.

Touran comes with high level brake light, Anti Lock Braking system (ABS) and Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) which automatically adjusts to any loss of handling in critical situations ensuring it is up to contemporary safety specifications.

For increased protection, the 1.6 Trendline comes with driver and front passenger airbags which include curtain airbags for front and 2nd row occupants.

Standard features include a radio CD with MP3 functionality, cruise control, and illuminated sun visor mirrors. ParkScan (park steering assistant), advance front-lighting system with bi-Xenon lamps, RCD-500 radio with integrated 6-disc CD-changer and MP3 functionality and an RNS-500 navigation system with touch-screen functionality are options that complete the ambience of convenience and top of the range luxury.

  • The recommended retail price of the Touran 1.6 Trendline is R216 800 inclusive.

  • This price includes a 3year/120 000 km warranty, 12 year anti-corrosion warranty and 5 year/60 000km Volkswagen AutoMotion Maintenance Plan.
