Nissan: Back on Sentra duty!

An all-new Nissan Sentra has made its debut in South Africa, returning nearly a decade after the last one was sold here in 2005.

The good-looking new model, here just two weeks after the one-model Nissan Almera arrived in the country, will fill a gap in the Nissan vehicle product line-up.

It’s the 13th generation of the cars that won not only hearts in South Africa but also trophies from track and rallying. "This one," Nissan says, “is a sophisticated and stylish sedan that spearheads Nissan’s ‘Innovation that Excites’ ideology into an important segment for the brand."

NISSAN'S NEW FLAGSHIP

Sikhumbuzo Mzele, product manager for Sentra at Nissan SA, said: “South Africans have fond memories of the Nissan Sentra from decades past and it give us at Nissan SA great pleasure to reintroduce the famed name into the local market.

“The new Sentra marks the brand’s return to the hotly-contested C-segment segment sedan arena where the new Sentra is up against formidable competition. With its sleek and stylish good looks, high quality, premium build integrity and superior roominess, the new Sentra is certain to create a stir.

“In short, the new Nissan Sentra is the new flagship of the Nissan South Africa passenger car range.”
