GT-R Proto hints at next Skyline
Nissan unveiled the striking GT-R Proto concept car at the Tokyo Motor Show, which will go into production in 2007 to become the all-new Skyline.
Although no information is yet available about its power train, there is no doubt that it will be a hot performance coupe.
Its design hints at some serious power and at the front end, the single centre air intake gives the car an aggressive stance.
According to Nissan the front fenders are uniquely designed through intensive analysis of the airflow around the tires, and the air vent behind the front fender also optimizes aerodynamics.
The sides of the body are sculptured towards the rear fender, expressing the power and dynamic tension of the car.
The overall shape of the body combines solid and smooth surfaces to achieve an athletic look.
The unique c-pillar crease is designed for optimum aerodynamics, reflecting the racing DNA of the GT-R.
The rear of the GT-R PROTO is strong and well defined and there are also four large-bore exhaust pipes.
