Peugeot has released details of a stunning new coupe cabriolet. 308 CC will be revealed at the upcoming Paris Motor Show.
Peugeot first rolled out its folding hard top with the 206CC more than seven years and what has now become a staple for open-top motoring is now also available on the 308.
Using a retractable metal roof, the car can be transformed from coupe to cabriolet in 20 seconds.
Based on the 308, increasing the front and rear trackshas giventhe carits distinctivelow and sporty profile.
Inside the cabin, 308 CC will debut a few new features, too.
Firstly, the Airwave system incorporates air vents into the head restraints that, much like Mercedes-Benz's Airscarf, blasts warm air onto the occupant's neck. It is a definite plus when top-down driving in cooler temperatures is required and can be adjusted for temperature, flow and direction.
New, too, is the side head airbag, which Peugeot claims is a world first, and joins a full complement of airbags including chest and pelvis side airbags built into the front seats.
Other new features include automatic remote control locking for interior storage compartments and easy access and egress for rear passengers with the assistance of front seats that electrically slide forward.
Peugeot describes the car as having a "usable boot" with capacity ranging from 255 litres to 465 litres with the roof up, and a warren of dedicated storage spaces for other odds and ends.
308CC, which will also include a host of new infotainment options, will be officially unveiled at the Paris Motor Show.
