2012-07-26 07:51

A TASTE OF THINGS TO COME: Kia promises its all-new Carens MPV will be sportier and more functional than the car it replaces. It will be shown at the 2012 Paris auto show.

Kia’s all-new Carens compact MPV will make its world premiere at the Paris Motor Show on September 27, the automaker said.

Conceived around a "dynamic space" theme, Kia said the all-new MPV will have a sleek cab-forward design, lower roofline, longer wheelbase and a chrome beltline accent.

Kia has only released two computer-generated sketches of the new Carens, but says it will "combine striking looks with spacious functionality".

The 2012 Paris auto show will run from September 27 to October 14.
