SsangYong will use the upcoming Paris Motor Show to unveil a stylish new compact passenger car concept called the C200.
An urban compact SUV concept, the C200 is the first SsangYong to feature a front-wheel drive platform and a monocoque construction.
The concept is also equipped with a new 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine, with 130 kW on tap, mated with a new six-speed manual transmission. Environmentally friendly with low CO2 emissions, the engine is said to conform to Euro5 exhaust emission regulations.
And, although this concept is front-wheel driven, the platform can also accommodate SsangYong's full-time four-wheel drive technology, the manufacturer says.
C200 is said to mark a new step in the manufacturer's long-term strategy to strengthen its line-up and increase its customer choice. And compared with existing SsangYong models, this one also promises to be rather good looking.
