Special Jag debuts in London
In celebration of 60 years of Jaguar's XK, a very special series of the current range has been introduced at the British International Motor Show.
Sixty years ago, Jaguar created a series that would go on to become of the most recognised nomenclatures in motoring - the XK120.
For 2008, Jaguar will be building a limited number of special XKs.
Named XK60, it offers a range of additions including dramatic new 20-inch alloys, a new front spoiler, chrome-finished side vents, special tailpipe finishes and distinctive badging.
XK60 is mechanically identical to the "regular" XK. It uses an all-aluminium construction and is underpinned by Jaguar's CATS Computer Active Technology Suspension
At its heart is the acclaimed naturally-aspirated 32-valve 4.2-litre V8 producing 219 kW at 6 000 r/min and 411 Nm at 4 100 r/min. This powerplant is mated with a six-speed automatic transmission.
The limited edition XK60 will be sold in the UK only.
