Honda will debut its next generation Jazz at the Tokyo Motor Show later this month.
It's named the Honda Fit in Japan and, like its predecessor, is set to be one of the best-packaged small cars going thanks to its tall mini-MPV style body.
In fact, after the first Jazz's success worldwide, Honda hasn't changed much about the styling or basic layout of the new model - though it does get a more upmarket interior.
Overall the design is evolutionary making the car appear sharper.
According to Auto Express the Jazz has slightly grown in size with the wheelbase 50mm longer at 2 500mm. The car's length gains 55mm at 3 900mm.
There are new 1.3 and 1.5-litre petrol engines too, and like before the Jazz will be available with manual or CVT auto transmissions.
The current Jazz is Honda's most successful small car which received numerous accolades in quality and ownership surveys.
The new Jazz is not likely to arrive in South Africa before the end of 2008 with some insiders saying it will only be here early in 2009.
