Ford Fiesta sedan shown in China

2008-11-18 10:09

The Ford Fiesta hatchback is a stunner. The sedan? We’re not so sure, but you be the judge; it was just unveiled at a Chinese motor show.

Based on the same Verve concept that spawned the very eye-catching Fiesta hatchback, the small sedan enjoys its global unveiling at the Guangzhou Auto Show.

The all-new Fiesta sedan will be built at Ford's Nanjing manufacturing facility and will be launched in China within months.

According to the manufacturer, the sedan caters to the needs of the Chinese consumer while fulfilling Ford's global strategy.

If Ford remains intact until then, variations of the Fiesta sedan will be rolled out across Asia and North America from 2010. However, it is said the sedan will not be sold in Europe.

Ford South Africa has said it is considering bringing the Fiesta sedan to the country, although nothing has yet been decided on.
