Mazda's BT-50 will make its South African debut at the 2011 Johannesburg International Motor Show. The new BT-50 offers more space for people and cargo and has a maximum towing capacity of 3350kg. Doreen Mashinini, Mazda's marketing manager, says the new model has a longer wheelbase and more power than the current model.TWO NEW ENGINESMashinini said, “We are very excited to be unveiling the new BT-50 at JIMS. The dynamic new design combined with increased cabin space, longer wheelbase and greater power ensures all the comfort of a car with the versatility of a pick-up.”The BT-50 will be available with two new diesel engines, each offering significant increases in power and torque with improved fuel efficiency. “Whether it's intended for recreational or business use, the new package offers more space and versatility with even greater levels of refinement. The revolutionary new styling is sure to attract attention while the impressive levels of comfort and specification make the Mazda BT-50 a savvy choice,” said Mashinini.The new Mazda BT-50 will go on sale locally in 2012.
