Hyundai readies stylish ix20
Hyundai will use its display at the upcoming Paris Motor Show to show off, what promises to be, a hot new mini MPV. Watch out Jazz!
A sketch of the ix20 has been released and shows the little people carrier displays none of the boxy styling elements usually associated with cars in this segment.
Instead, ix20, which was developed at Hyundai’s R&D Centre in Russelsheim, Germany, has a sportier look in keeping with the company’s new “fluidic sculpture” design language first seen on the ix35 SUV.
According to Hyundai, the new MPV’s name “reflects the new model’s crossover-like versatility”. Since the actual car will be shown at Paris, we'll be able to show more images then.
Hyundai will also use the Paris showstand to reveal its facelifted i10. Along with a number of enhancements related to its design and specification, the car will also debut a new 1.0-litre engine with CO2 emissions of just 99 g/km.
