A facelift of the Mazda6 sedan joins the new Mazda5 at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The upgraded versions are said to see improvements in cabin refinement and ambience, environmental compatibility and safety. Mazda's family face has evolved and the revised Six gains new headlamps and rear lights. A new 2.0-litre DISI petrol engine will also be introduced with a specially tuned five-speed automatic transmission. This engine reportedly uses less fuel and produces fewer emissions than the 2.0-litre it replaces. Updated versions of the 1.8- and 2.5-litre petrol engines are also in the works. The facelift also includes new chassis settings and active safety features, including a new adaptive front headlight system and hill-launch assist.
