There are curves a plenty at the annual Geneva Motor Show, but none with pipes like singing sensation Shakira who made a personal appearance Wednesday to personally sign off on a one-shot version of SEAT's Leon Cupra.
Shakira, whose hits include 'Whenever, Wherever' and the infectious 'Hips Don't Lie', made a splash during the brief appearance at the 77th annual show, which is more famous for its concept cars and new models from global carmakers.
She was there in part because SEAT, which is owned by Germany's Volkswagen, is sponsoring her current European tour, The singer autographed a Leon Pies Descalzo, a model based on the company's Leon Cupra, painted metallic lilac, writing her name across the hood, but did not sing.
The car will be given away at the Barcelona Motor Show in June to a random winner picked from people who have donated '1 to Shakira's Pies Descalzos Foundation, which helps children displaced by conflict in Latin America.
So far, $100 000 has been raised for the organization.
