Now Ford is gearing up to unveil the dramatic-looking Mondeo in production guise at next month's Geneva Motor Show.
The all-new Mondeo is hardly a secret as several "official" photos have been doing the rounds on the internet, while a concept wagon was also present at the Paris Motor Show.
Ford will launch the production Mondeo in sedan and stationwagon guise while the design is a dramatic departure of the Mondeo models of the past.
The newcomer features striking design cues ditching the car?s original conservative image.
Under the bonnet the entry-level model will get a 1.8-litre engine, while the range-topper is to get the Ford group's tried-and-tested five-cylinder 2.5-litre unit. This turbo-charged unit thrusts out 165kW. A range of diesel engines will be available too.
According to Ford they haven't mdae a decision yet to bring the new Mondeo to South Africa.
