It is once again time for 'Cars in the Park' when about 2 000 classic and veteran cars will be on display to create that typical nostalgic atmosphere in which old and young thrive while enjoying engineering of the past and the history of the modern car.
Cars in the Park will this year take place on the Sunday 3 August at the Zwartkops Raceway on the western side of Pretoria.
The organisers this year added even more draw cards to the event by introducing an amusement park for old and young as well as daylong action by Land Rover-owners who will be doing their thing at the 4x4 facility of the track.
There will once again be a big selection of exhibits and food stands run by various charities as well as motor clubs such as the Pretoria Motor Club that will once again offer tasty food to one and all on the day.
Parking and traffic flow have been a problem in the past but event manager Frans du Toit confirmed that ample provision has been made to ensure that the public will be able to get in and out of the premises with minimum effort.
A crowd in excess of 15 000 people are expected for the day and visitors are advised to come early, as the gates will open at 07:00 already.
Entry is R40 per adult and children under 12 are free.
