Frankfurt - The 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show takes place in Germany this week and many manufacturers are showcasing their latest vehicles.

Automaker's such as Ferrari and Rolls-Royce are hoping to get their share of the limelight with future creations.

Here are five exotics we can’t wait to see at the Show this year:

1. Ferrari Portofino

Sitting only 1.3m high and measuring almost 4.6m in length, the Portofino is the latest car to come from the Prancing horse brand. It will replace the Ferrari California T, but boasts a lower weight, increased torsional rigidity, more power and better performance.

Powering the Portofino is a 3.9-litre V8 engine that churns out an eye-watering 441kW/760Nm. Ferrari says that its new convertible will hit 100km/h from standstill in 3.5sec and will reach a top speed in excess of 320km/h.

2. Lamborghini Aventador S

Being the world’s only mid-rear engine V12 sports car, the Lamborghini Aventador S takes the insanity of the Aventador range to a new level. Pushing out 544kW/690Nm from its 6.5-litre engine. The Aventador S is equipped with four-wheel steering, as well as improved vehicle dynamic programmes. Lamborghini says the Aventador S will do the 0-100km/h run in 3.0sec and on an open road, will hit 300km/h from standstill in 25sec!

3. Mercedes-AMG project One

The Mercedes-AMG Project ONE is a two-seater super sports car that, for the first time, brings the very latest and efficient, fully-fledged Formula 1 hybrid technology to the road. This high-performance hybrid has an output of over 750kW and a top speed exceeding 350km/h. Mercedes-AMG is adamant that the show car combines racetrack performance with day-to-day suitable F1 hybrid technology.

4. Rolls-Royce Phantom

The epitome of luxury in the automotive world, Rolls-Royce will unveil its new Phantom to show-goers at Frankfurt. The eighth-generation Phantom is built on an all-aluminium platform that will be the new foundation for future models. The new Phantom is powered by a 6.75-litre V12 engine that develops 520kW and an earth-shattering, tar-wrenching 900Nm of torque.

5. BMW Z4

The BMW Z4 is one of the most underrated roadsters but those who are familiar with the car will know just how much fun it is behind the wheel. And just to remind the motoring public of what a car the Z4 is, BMW penned a new model and it looks absolutely stunning!
