Ford has revealed a new concept small car - dubbed Verve - that should influence the design and styling of the next Fiesta.
The Verve concept was designed in Europe and mimics the dynamism shown with the recent Iosis, Iosis X and Vignale concept cars.
It also drops a few not-so-subtle hints at the general appearance of the next generation Ka.
The concept will officially be unveiled at next month's Frankfurt Motor Show.
Derrick Kuzak, Ford's head of global product development told AP that the concept is "very representative of what you'll see" in the new Fiesta.
The concept's gaping grille and elliptical headlights dominate the front end, while at the rear, designer tail pipes and a tailgate spoiler signal great baby hot hatch potential.
The next generation small car is being planned for introduction from 2008.
Based on the responses gauged at the upcoming show, several Verve elements could be incorporated into the new car's final production design.
