Novitec turns up heat on 599

2007-09-03 08:35
Specialist Ferrari tuner Novitec Rosso has created its own styling and performance kit for the breathtaking Ferrari 599 GTB.

The front-engined machine's power is boosted by an additional 18 kW through tweaks to the ECU, shoving the power output to 480 kW. Top speed increases by 5 km/h.

Novitec reports it is currently working on a bigger upgrade for the 599 GTB. This will be released in 2008.

Styling changes are kept functional with the lower front spoiler, side skirts with larger air intakes, and a rear wing and diffuser providing increased down force and cooling.

An adjustable aluminium suspension is provided by KW Automotive. The ride height is varied by punching a button - a useful feature when scaling those pesky speedhumps.

Six piston Brembos with 405 mm discs on all wheels see to the stopping duties.

Finer detailing includes LED taillight clusters and black side indicators.
