New Saab 9-5 revealed
The dormant 9-5 moniker has been revived and the all-new model makes its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The new Saab flagship's styling was mostly inspired by the Aero X concept and with its muscular, low-slung stance ushers in a new design language for the Swedish marque.
9-5 will also be stocked with a host of state-of-the-art features, including a head-up information display, adaptive headlamps with bi-xenon beams, adaptive cruise control, an adaptive chassis with damping control and keyless entry and start.
Powertrains on offer are all turbocharged and will be offered with petrol, diesel and ethanol fuel options. All transmissions are six-speed.
Described as the new era for Saab, 9-5 will be built at the manufacturer's home plant in Trollhättan. It enjoys its first public at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show.
