The second-generation Mazda6 is being lined up for its official unveiling at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The all-new car, which shares its underpinnings with the new Ford Mondeo (which will not be coming to South Africa) is the first of the original Zoom-Zoomers to enter its next generation.
The Mazda6's signature bodystyle will remain largely unchanged, but quality levels, according to the manufacturer, will be much improved on the new model.
And though it is rumoured that the new car will get a V6 powerplant, safety and greater environmental sensitivity are just some of the new Mazda6's key considerations.
The next-generation Mazda6 will be unveiled at next month's Frankfurt Motor Show. Its local arrival date remains undecided.
