Merc E-Class estate leaked!
Images of the striking new E-Class estate have emerged ahead of its first public appearance at next month's Frankfurt Motor Show.
Official images of the new wagon show that, although it isn't that much bigger than its predecessor, in its latest incarnation the third member in the E-Class family is a whole lot better looking as it lifts a host of styling cues from its sedan and coupe siblings.
Details are scant, but it is reported that the new car is only about 50mm longer than its predecessor. It is somewhat wider too, which should translate to more space for passengers and luggage.
The wagon will be fitted with a range of safety and comfort equipment including nine airbags, active head restraints and automatic air suspension.
A range of petrol and turbodiesel engines in four-, six- and eight-cylinder guises will again power the E-Class estate. A fire-breathing AMG model will headline the range.
Sales in Europe are expected to start in November, filtering across to the rest of the world from early 2010.
