Hyundai has released the first undisguised image of its new ix35 crossover.
The striking ix35 shows off the pronounced grille and sculptured headlamps of Hyundai's new family face that will be carried across to other models.
According to the manufacturer, ix35 has a smaller footprint than traditional hatchbacks and MPVs in the C-segment.
The company also says more refined powertrain technology will allow its new crossover SUV to achieve better fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions than its rivals.
All will be revealed when the ix35 enjoys its official debut at next month's Frankfurt Motor Show.
The Tucson replacement is due to arrive in South Africa by April next year.
