Ford to build a Jazz rival
The Paris Motor Show may be upon us, but Ford is already looking to 2011 and the debut of its new mini-MPV to rival Honda’s popular Jazz.
While the all-new Euro-spec Focus (plus the stonking ST) is being readied for its debut at next month’s Paris show, the carmaker already has next year’s Geneva Motor Show in its sights.
Ford is expected to use its Swiss platform to show off a facelifted Fiesta. Although changes will likely be slight, taking the form of revised bumpers, LED daytime running lights and a new direct injection turbocharged engine, the headliner is likely to be the all-new B-Max.
Based on the Fiesta, the mini-MPV concept will reportedly be more conservatively styled than the very trendy Fiesta. Despite its low-key design approach, practicality will feature high on B-Max’s list of priorities, so expect the interior layout to be very similar to that of the Jazz.
