Nissan Tiida replacing Almera
According to Wheels24 managing editor John Oxley, who is attending the show, the locally produced five door hatch will be available in two derivatives: a 1.6 five-speed manual and a sporty top of the range 1.8 offering a six-speed gearbox.
The Tiida, which is a hatchback, is to replace the ageing Almera models. But rumour have it that a sedan version of the Tiida is also on the cards.
It shares its underpinnings and engineering with that of the popular Renault Megane. The vehicle is already on sale in Asian and US markets.
