Santa Clause has a surprise for Subaru fans as the Japanese carmaker has chosen 24 December to unveil its new Forester SUV.
According to www.subaru.jp the wraps will come off the next Forester on Christmas Eve. Its official world debut will take place at the Detroit Motor Show early in January.
The all-new Forester, with its versatile five-seat interior, will build on the current vehicle's current appeal of exceptional quality and top-notch driving dynamics.
It appears as if the vehicle's design will be evolutionary, rather than revolutionary. The Forester will take styling cues from the new Impreza and facelifted Tribeca models.
So expect a more curvaceous design with sculpted headlamps and Subaru's winged grille design at the front. At the rear there will be a more rounded tail.
An elevated ride height will give the driver a commanding view of the road.
Subaru is set to up the car's off-road ability while the newcomer is expected to feature a range of petrol and diesel engines.
