Cadiillac fans worldwide are anticipating the reveal of the all-new 2008 Cadillac CTS, which will take place at the Detroit Motor Show in January next year.
GM Vice President, Ed Welburn, and Bob Lutz, GM Vice Chairman, provided quite a tease to the media with a sneak peek of the new model.
Production of the performance luxury sedan is scheduled to begin towards the middle of 2007, with worldwide sales to follow soon there after.
Since the launch of Cadillac's first-generation CTS in 2002, it has built a strong record of success on many levels. Cadillac sold more than 60 000 units in the US in 2005, compared to roughly 38 000 in 2002.
There are roughly 275 000 CTS owners worldwide, and industry researchers say they are among the most satisfied in the automotive market.
The CTS was rated as the top Entry Luxury Car by AutoPacific in its annual Vehicle Satisfaction Awards in 2006.
