Mitsubishi's Outlander receives an update for the 2015 model year with "mechanical and cosmetic adjustments" and one model choice - the 2.4 GLS Exceed.
The automaker says its premium mid-sized SUV now looks "more purposeful" with a re-designed grille, a black below-grille area and chromed edges for the front fog lights. Shiny roof rails and belly plates have been "off-set" by black wheel arches.
Under-floor space now exists in the boot; it doubles as parking for the removable boot-space cover when all seven seats are erect.
Its constantly-variable transmission has been revised to, the automaker claims, reduce fuel consumption and a wider-spectrum lock-up range makes things quieter with more "gear" slots on the transmission - or when manual changes are selected by the paddle shifters.
Mitsubishi's 2.4-litre DOHC MIVEC petrol remains, along with a claimed fuel-consumption of 8.2 litres/100 km (under ideal conditions). The all-wheel drive still has Mitsubishi's three-choice Multi-Select AWD. Ground clearance is 190mm.
