Mazda freshens up BT-50 bakkie

2009-05-25 09:20
Mazda has brought its local BT-50 bakkie range in line with the international facelift launched in Europe during October last year.

This very mild restyling exercise features a new five-point body colour grille, framed by silver-look headlamp bezels.

Around the rear there is a new step bumper and revised roll bar design.

The aesthetic changes are finished off with new-look 16’’ alloy wheels rolling in the wheel arches. Overall the pre-facelift BT-50 looks more authentically  bakkie to us.

The other notable upgrade is auxiliary output point capability on the in-dash mounted CD changers – both single slot and six-disc shuttle versions.

Not much new in here, design and dials still neat, could do with satellite steering wheel controls though.

The Mazda BT-50 offers 10 000km service intervals and comes with a 4-year/120 000km Warranty. The MazdaMotion 5-year/90 000km Service Plan as well as 3-year Roadside Assistance Plan comes standard across all models.
