Limited Range Rover sees red

LIMITED EDITION STYLE: Exterior trim, new alloy wheels and interior enhancements, if you’re going to pay over R1-million on a vehicle it might as well be exclusive.
Earlier in 2012 we reported on British automaker Range Rover launching its Sport Autobiography model in South Africa. Now a limited-edition model has arrived – Range Rover Sport Red Limited Edition.
The limited edition models adds exclusivity in the form of a unique style pack for the exterior and interior.
The new model is powered by a 375kW/625Nm supercharged LR-V8 engine mated to a six-speed auto.
STYLE PACK FOR TOP SUV
Based on the 5.0 HSE Supercharger, the new model is available in four colours - red, grey, white or black. The black mesh grille is highlighted by a chromed bezel and black surround. The badging on the bonnet and rear are finished in silver while the rear sport badge is in red.
The fender vents sport a similarly bright red logo bar set against a black grille, with silver surrounds.
Red Brembo brake calipers and unique 20-inch alloy wheels complete the exterior style upgrades.
The interior sports carbon fibre veneers and is finished in HSE ebony with a choice of four dedicated seat trims.
Seat inserts can be chosen in red, grey or ebony with contrast stitching and a sport logo embossed on the headrests.

“The striking exterior and subtle interior treatments, unique alloy wheels and beautiful upholstery detailing will appeal to customers for whom exclusivity is important.”
The autoamaker is currently testing its next-generation Sport model and a prototype was spotted undergoing testing, sporting a lower profile, new chassis and a V8 engine capable of 380kW.
Land Rover’s iconic Defender badge gets a rugged overhaul in the form of the XTech Special Edition which will arrive in South Africa in November, 2012.
