ROME, Italy - Ducati has announced its latest limited edition "dream" model, the exclusive 1199 SuperLeggera.
The machines combine a cocktail of "precious" materials such as titanium, magnesium and carbon fibre to, the bikemaker claims, "have the best power-to-weight ratio of any production motorcycle".

The engine produces more than 150kW in a bike that weighs only 155kg dry and which Ducati punts as "authentic Italian performance".
ON SHOW AT EICMA
The 1199 SuperLeggera has for now only been offered to owners of the Desmosedici RR or R superbikes and its success has exceeded all expectations: 75% of the 500 units to be produced have already been sold.
The 1199 SuperLeggera will be displayed on the Ducati stand of the EICMA Motorcycle Show in Milan, Italy, in November.
