GMSA says that the Corsa Hatch 1.7 DTi Elegance offers "amazing operating efficiencies", including a 15 000 kilometre service interval without the need for an intermediate oil change.

According to GMSA the Corsa Hatch 1.7 DTi can achieve fuel consumption as low as 4.7 litres per 100 km.

Maximum power for the 1.7-litre unit is 55 kW at 4 400 r/min and the maximum torque available is 165 Nm available over the range of 1 800 to 3 000 r/min.

The Elegance specification level of the Corsa Hatch 1.7 DTi includes:
