Volkswagen is planning an 18 model line-up for the upcoming 2013 Johannesburg International Motor Show in October. The stars of its show will be the new Golf BlueMotion, iBeetle, Scirocco GTS and Amarok Edition concept. All of which Wheels24 will tell you about in our JIMS section as they are shown.

FRUGAL GOLF, IPHONE BEETLE
The new Golf BlueMotion is powered by a new 81kW, two-litre, direct-injection turboadiesel. Fuel consumption is a claimed 3.2-litres/100km and CO2 emissions 85g/km.
The special edition iBeetle derives its moniker from its iPhone integration. The iBeetle uses a docking station and a unique app called “Volkswagen Car-Net The Beetle” and according to the automaker is the first model to feature an iPhone as an integrated component. The interface is compatible with the iPhone 4/4s and 5/5s.

Volkswagen’s 18-model display will also include the special edition Scirocco GTS and Amarok Edition concept. According to VW: “The high-end features of this double-cab bakkie will appeal to customers looking for a rugged lifestyle bakkie in the popular light commercial vehicles segment.
The Amarok Edition sets itself apart from standard derivatives through its style updates and orange/black colour scheme. The concept sports smoked rear lights, underbody protection in body colour, contrasting black wheel wells and badges on the doors and boot.
