The new Jeep Renegade is set to hit South African shores soon. Already popular in the UK and Europe, the Jeep Renegade promises to set a new standard in the small SUV market with its sleek exterior, comfortable interior, generously spaced cargo area its many hidden gems.
These “Easter Eggs”, the small design elements that make up the car, are a standard element when it comes to Jeep craftsmanship. From the interior lining that sports scenes from the Moab Desert to the taillights created with the signature Jerry-can “X”, the new Jeep Renegade is a real people pleaser.
To launch the Jeep Renegade in South Africa, a challenge has been issued, calling on one man or woman to be the person who “unleashes” the Jeep Renegade.
RENEGADE CHALLENGE
The #UnleashRenegade challenge began on 13 April 2015 and will culminate on 20 May 2015, after a single winner proves they’re tough enough to handle the car. On 13 April, un-radio presenter Gareth Cliff and three other celebrities were issued a challenge. They were called upon to prove just how Renegade they are, with challenges that will see them pushed to new limits.

The competition is based on uncovering a series of codes. Each week, a video will be released that has a code hidden somewhere within it. Those who wish to take part in the challenge will need to find the code in the video and visit www.unleashrenegade.co.za to enter it. The person who finds the correct code each week, and enters it, will stand in line to win the grand prize, a month’s ownership of the vehicle as well as R40 000 worth of travel vouchers courtesy of STA Travel.
PRIZES
Once entrants have found and entered the code for the first video, they will be taken to a voting page, where additional prizes can be won. The celebrity challengers, including ONeal, Hlubi Mboya and marketing guru Richard Mulholland, will be given three challenges to choose from each week. These voting pages work on a simple premise: if you think you know which challenge on the celebrity challengers will opt in for, choose it for a chance to win Jeep-branded gear worth R5000 per week.
Towards the end of the fifth week of voting, the final code will be revealed. For those who have been tough enough to follow the process, the fifth and final code will only be opened for entry for a limited amount of time. This means that only a select few will be chosen to enter the final draw for a chance to win the grand prize.
The #UnleashRenegade challenge is as diverse as the Jeep Renegade itself and with just a few short weeks to go until the Renegade is revealed, isn’t it time you entered for a chance to win?
