If you find yourself yearning for Jeep’s Grand Cherokee SRT-8, but your budget won’t really permit its purchase, soothe yourself with the knowledge of a new S-Limited style pack.
The “sports-styled” S-Limited sports line for the Grand Cherokee offers the presence of beefy sports styling without a thirsty large-capacity petrol engine – such as the 6.4 V8 in the SRT-8 – and their propensity to burn holes in pockets.
SRT LOOKS, V6 URGE
The S-Limited does, however, take much of its styling cues from the SRT-8, while still ticking all the boxes for fuel economy, 4x4 capability and comfort.
Carbon-fibre cabin trim is a neat addition, too, along with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and ventilated Nappa leather seats. Metal pedal pads continue the sporty look.
Other standard features include Jeep’s air suspension and all-wheel drive, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, high-gloss 20” alloy rims, an 825W Harmon-Kardon audio system and a distinctive black grille and rear light bar.
The S-Limited is powered by Jeep’s three-litre V6 CRD turbodiesel engine.
Chrysler SA told Wheels24 that there are no plans at the moment to introduce the S-Limited in SA. Pity - any body out there think it should be. Tell Chrysler in our Readers' Comments section below.
