Hyundai 'remixes' its i20 hatch

Hyundai has revealed a face-lifted i20 at the Geneva auto show but hasn't completely forgotten about its popular predecessor.

South African fans of the brand can now buy a revamped version called the i20 Remix powered by a 1.6 engine capable of 91kW/156Nm driving through a five-speed gearbox. In terms of design, the new model benifits from a rear spoiler, tinted safety film on the rear glass and 15" alloy rims wrapped in 185/60 rubber.

All these features won't increase the price compared to the standard i20.

PARKING RADAR

Inside, over and above the standard specification, the Remix has park distance radar and Bluetooth and iPod connectivity have been added to the standard six-speaker audio system.

The i20 Remix retails for *R169 900. In the Western Cape, only the 1.4i manual can be had for R149 990 - a R10 000 discount.

Of course the next version of the i20 has just been launched at the 2012 Geneva auto show...

*Wheels24 was originally misinformed by a media release which quoted the i20 Remix price as R159 990
