STUTTGART, Germany - Tuning specialist Brabus will debut a modified Smart ForTwo alongside the new battery Smart car and the German automaker's new e-bike at the 2012 Geneva auto show.
Powering the Smart Brabus is a 60kW electric motor capable of 135Nm. The drive has been enhanced with a sports suspension and the new model is 10mm lower than the standard version. The Smart Brabus electric drive comes with a Brabus sports steering wheel with steering wheel gearshift.
MODIFIED PANELS
The body has been given a radical make over complete with green-and-black paint. Dark headlights, 16" alloy rims up front and 17" the rear and Brabus Xclusive aerodynamic body styling parts complete with front spoiler.
The cabin ports green/black trim as well as various modified panels, including the dashboard, as well as leather upholstery, stainless-steel pedals and a Brabus hand-brake handle and rev counter.
Smart boss Annette Winkler said: "The Smart Brabus electric drive is our sports car with a green heart. Electric driving in the city is more fun than ever with this 2.69m bundle of power."
The Smart Brabus e-bike will celebrate its world premiere at Geneva. The two-wheeler can reach 45km/h with its 500W electric motor and offers an alternative to fossil-fuel powered transport.
