LONDON, England - Honda says it's produced a fourth-generation CR-V with a comprehensive range of enhancements to further broaden its appeal.
It said the CR-V was already one of the most popular compact SUV's in the world with more than 750 000 sold in Europe since it was launched in 1997... nearly 50 000 of them in 2014.
Highlights of the 2015 model-year version include a new diesel engine and nine-speed auto, "world-first" crash protection technology, an all-new connectivity and infotainment system and an "enhanced" suspension.

New engine and transmission
The new-look CR-V is offered with a more powerful diesel engine and optional nine-speed auto available with the all -wheel drive CR-V, the new higher-powered 120kW 1.6 DTEC four-cylinder diesel engine and Honda’s Earth Dreams emissions control.
Connect infotainment system
Honda Connect offers convenience and connectivity while on the road, with key features including DAB / FM / AM and internet radio, Bluetooth connectivity, internet browsing, satnav and rear-view parking camera.
World-first active safety feature
The 2015 CR-V will also premiere Honda’s new "intelligent adaptive" cruise control as part of a "commitment to ‘safety for everyone’. It's capable of predicting and automatically reacting to other vehicles trajectory. Honda’s i-ACC uses a camera and a radar to identify the position of other vehicles on the road.
