Headed for SA: Spruced-up BMW M6 trio

MUNICH, Germany – BMW’s face-lifted M6 Coupe and Gran Coupe and Convertible will arrive in South Africa early in 2015 with a face-lift and design changes soon after the cars' 2015 Detroit auto show reveal.

They're fitted with new diode headlights, new bumpers, a freshened kidney grille and skirts and new 19” M-specific alloy rims (M6 Gran Coupe 20”). Minor changes have also been applied to the rear apron and its associated diffuser, quad paired tailpipes and M6 logo on the boot lid.

BMW has also spruced-up the cabins with even better-quality materials, among them new twin-tone leather trim and the automaker’s latest head-up display.

The new M6 retains BMW M division's twin-turbo, 4.4-litre, V8 petrol engine that's capable of 412kW/680Nm and delivers the goods through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

The new BMW M6 range will go on sale in South Africa in the second quarter of 2015. Local prices and specs will be confirmed closer to the launch.
