Hamsters bring back Soul of sexy

Kia has brought back the frumpy hamsters, but this time they’re leaner, meaner and rather yummy to look at, just like the new Soul apparently.

The frumpsters first appeared to punt the launch of the first-generation Soul in 2011.

In the official video posted by Kia on YouTube, the hamsters return to hit the beach and the gym and shed their furred folds to the tune of the latest pop hit from Lady Gaga, 'Applause'.

TWEAKED STYLING

The 2014 Soul compact SUV will make its European debut at the 65th Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung (IAA) in Frankfurt before going on sale across Europe early 2014.

The compact SUV still has that box-like shape and high-mounted tail lights but has been nipped and tucked to look a lot more stylish. Customers will also be able to choose from three roof colours – black, white or red – and 11 body colours.

The new Souls for display at the Kia stand at Frankfurt will also showcase a new SUV styling pack that adds piano-black bumper trim, side skirts and wheel-arch garnish.

The cars are expected in South Africa in the first half of 2014.
