In May 2014, Wheels24 reported that GWM announced the standardisation of a five-year or 60 000 km service plan on all of its passenger vehicles. Optional plans on commercial single-cab pick-ups or an "opt-out" of standard service plans, if required.
In June, GWM hopes to boost consumer confidence in its products even further with the launch of its first “guaranteed” buy-back programme* in South Africa, albeit for a limited period.

In partnership with GWM Financial Services (underwritten by Wesbank), the automaker “guarantees the buy-back of a customer’s vehicle for as much as 40% of its original value after five years".
GWM SA Chief operating officer Warren Olsen said: “Following the recent introduction of five-year service plans and warranties on all models except single-cabs, as well as a ten-year corrosion warranty across the board, this buy-back scheme further illustrates GWM’s confidence in its own products.
“To GWM South Africa cost of ownership is key to providing affordable motoring for all South Africans, especially during these tougher economic times.
“This guaranteed buy-back scheme applies to our entire range, including our single-cab pick-ups, and the offer lasts until the end of July.”
