Ford vans in Transit to SA

Ford SA has revealed that it will be introducing its Transit nameplate in South Africa.

The Transit is already established in Europe and the latest generation will be introduced in Munich, Germany, starting later in July, 2012.

The latest global product from Ford will be introduced in South Africa, the automaker said, in response to customer requests but also to go along with the introduction of the new model.

At this stage, only the Transit panel van and passenger bus are confirmed for South Africa. They will be launched here early in 2013.

    Doesn't solve their MAJOR problem of not having a 3/4 ton product to replace the Bantam! #fail

    Transits are work horses and can make more than 400.000 km without problems. They are the bestselling vehicles in its segment in Australia and New Zealand.
