The new 1.6i C4 Coupe'sengine features a cylinder head with a double overhead camshaft, four valves per cylinder and a motor-driven throttle, controlled electrically by the engine control unit.

It develops 80 kW at 5 800 r/min and maximum torque of 147 Nm at 4 000 r/min. This engine offers torque of 132 Nm (90% of the maximum amount) from a mere 2 000 r/min.

According to Citroen the overall fuel consumption is 7.1 litres per 100 km.

The C4 1.6 coupe comes with safety features such six airbags, ABS brakes with EBD, emergency braking assistance (EBA) and automatic hazard warning light activation.

It also comes with the world?s first anatomically shaped driver airbag. This feature, which uses the fixed central section of the steering wheel, improves driver protection.

There are also an array of comfort features such as a multifunction steering wheel and air conditioning.

The price tag for the 1.6-litre C4 coupe is R154 995. It comes with a 2 year 60 000 km service plan and a 3 year warranty.
