Volkswagen's new Jetta and Golf 1.4 TSI 90kW Comfortline derivatives can now be ordered with an optional seven-speed DSG transmission.
The fuel consumption gains of DSG transmission can be up to 12% when compared with a manual transmission and up to 20% to an automatic transmission with torque converter clutch.
The 1.4 TSI 90kW engine fitted in both models is capable of 200Nm from 1500 - 4000rpm. The Jetta is capable of achieving 0 - 100km/h in 9.8 seconds while the Golf comes in at 9.5sec. Top speed is limited to 202km/h for the new Jetta and 200 km/h for the Golf.
Claimed fuel consumption and emissions are identical at six-litres/100km and 138g/km of CO2.
