LONDON, England - Earlier in 2014 Wheels24 reported that Ducati had announced the release dates of its new Monster 821, a mid-size entry for the third generation of the iconic naked bike.
Ducati South Africa says the new Monster 821 will arrive locally a few weeks earlier than expected - in mid-September 2014.
The Ducati's Monster 821 follows the unveiling of its next-generation Monster 1200 at the Milan International Motorcycle show in November 2013.

Ducati says the essential new Monster 821 "maintains its stylish character using the new chassis and muscular styling of the Monster 1200, designed with premium components fully integrated with Ducati’s latest technologies".
The new Monster, powered by the latest edition of Ducati’s 821 Testastretta 11° engine, is capable of 84kW/89Nm and weighs 179.5kg.
Ducati SA pricing is yet to be confirmed but the bike should sell for about R140 000.
