Civic Tourer headed to Frankfurt

Honda has announced its 2013 Frankfurt auto show line-up and centre stage on September 10 will be the global reveal of its Civic Tourer and updated Civic five-door.

In addition, the automaker will showcase several motorsport-tuned models such as its NSX Concept and World Touring Car championship contender.

Civic Tourer 

The Civic Tourer, Honda says, will be "sleek and sophisticated with class-leading cdabin space". It's due for sale early in 2014.

The Civic range will be bolstered with an updated five-door hatchback.

MOTORSPORT

Honda NSX Concept II

The NSX Concept II, first shown at the 2013 Geneva auto show, suggests the potential direction for the next NSX's interior. The car will be the flagship for the automaker’s Earth Dreams Technology series.

McLaren MP4/4 Heritage F1

Powered by Honda’s 1500cc V6 twin-turbo, this iconic machine dominated the 1988 Formula 1 series and won 15 of 16 grands prix. It set a record for the most GP wins in a season and won both the Constructors' and Drivers' championships. Honda will return to F1 in 2015 under a joint project with McLaren.

Honda WTCC Car

Honda is competing in the 2013 FIA World Touring Car championship with drivers Gabriele Tarquini and Tiago Monteiro. Its 2013 WTTCC car will be on display in Frankfurt. The Civic WTCC is powered by a 1.4 turbo-petrol engine.

Also on display at Frankfurt will be the automaker’s RC213V motorcycle currently being used in the 2013 Moto GP series.
