Citroen updates C4 for 2015

  • PARIS, France - The second-generation Citroën C4 will be updated in 2015 with, the automaker says, "a new light signature, technologies and latest-generation engines".

    The model was launched in 2010 and more than 450 000 units have been assembled at the automaker's factory in Mulhouse, France.

    NEW DESIGN, TECH

  • Its new headlights, with two 3D chromed module, on a black background, give the new C4 a unique design complemented by LEDs and slender lights. As part of a facelift it gains chromed treatment to the bumpers and new 17” alloys.

    Inside it gains a new 17cm touch screen and two cloth seat options (black and grey). In terms of driver assistance, it’s equipped with new intelligent traction control (replaces the anti-slip regulation, hill assist, cornering lighting, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring.

    The C4’s dimensions are unchanged (4.33m long, 1.79m wide and 1.4m tall) with a boot space rated at 408 litres.

    POWER

    The new C4 range gains two PureTech petrol (110 and 130 S&S) and two BlueHDi (100 and 120) diesel engines. The PureTech 110 is capable of 81kW/205Nm. The 1.5-litre BlueHDi 100 (73kW/254Nm) and the BlueHDi 120 (88kW/300 Nm), both linked to a six-speed manual.

    Citroen South Africa confirmed we won't receive its updated C4, choosing instead to focus on the upcoming C4 Cactus crossover's arrival in 2015.
