Citroen seduces with C4 Aircross diesel

Citroen has added a front-wheel drive turbodiesel derivative to its C4 Aircross range. The 1.6 HDi has a claimed fuel consumption of 4.6 litres/100km and emissions of 119g/km.

Citroen has added a front-wheel drive turbodiesel derivative to its C4 Aircross range – the new 1.6 HDi Seduction.

The model retails for R339 900. It has 200mm ground clearance, unbraked towing capacity of 750kg and a braked capacity of 1200kg.

384 LITRES OF SPACE

The diesel-powered C4 Aircross is equipped with auto wipers and headlights, steering wheel controls, a chilled glovebox (via the auto aircon) and audio system with USB, aux and voice-activated Bluetooth.

Luggage capacity is rated at 384 litres. Buyers can add an optional sunroof with UV protection and a one-touch electronic blind.

The 84kW/270Nm 1.6 turbodiesel is mated to a six-speed manual and stop/start. Fuel consumption is rated at 4.6 litres/100km and emissions of 119g/km.

In terms of safety the the C4 Aircross is equipped with the automaker’s “survival cell”, anti-lock brakes, seven air bags and IsoFix anchors for compatible child seats.

The Citroen Aircross range is covered by a three-year or 100 000km warranty and a five-year of 100 000km service plan. Buyers have the option to extend the warranty to five-years or 100 000km and upgrade to a 100 000km maintenance plan.
