Chery hatch adds extra auto

Chery South Africa adds another automatic option to its entry-level QQ3 hatchback range.

The QQ3, fitted with a 1.1-litre engine, is now offered with the same five-speed electronically controlled transmission seen on the 0.8-litre version introduced in May. Called EZ Drive, it allows for both semi- and fully automatic modes using the Auto button positioned beside the gearshift lever.

This car is powered by a four-cylinder 1.1-litre producing 50 kW at 6 000 r/min and 90 Nm between 3 500 and 4 000 r/min.

According to the manufacturer, this model has an average fuel consumption of 6.9 l/100 km and expels CO2 emissions of 159 g/km.

A high-mounted rear brake light, ABS, dual front airbags and disc brakes on the front axle are standard on the auto' 1.1 TXE.

Comfort equipment includes air conditioning, electric windows all round and power side mirrors.

Chery recently added automatic models to the Tiggo SUV and J5 sedan ranges, as well as to the QQ3 0.8 TX.
