Cheaper Tiguan hits SA

VWSA has introduced a more affordable 4X2 version of its Tiguan here - and its cheaper than the new Golf 2.0 TDI!

The new Trend and Fun 1.4 TSI is fitted with the twincharged engine already doing duty in the Tiguan and Golf ranges and here has outputs of 110 kW and 240 Nm.  

The latest addition is offered with a six-speed manual transmission and combined fuel consumption is said to be 7.4 l/100 km.

Standard comfort and safety features are similar to those offered on the 4Motion models and include six airbags, ESP and EBD, climatic air conditioning and a multifunction display.

As for options, prospective owners can tick boxes for cruise control, steering wheel controls, PDC and park assist, xenon headlights and satnav.

Tiguan Trend and Fun 1.4 TSI 4X2 is sold with a standard five year/60 000 km service plan and three year/120 000 km warranty.
